A round CHALLAH & it’s LEGIT! I used the @legitbreadcompany challah mix & once it was all stirred together I divided it in half & added superfood powder to each half for a splash of color. Also sprinkled some vanilla infused organic sugar on top before baking for a little sparkle.
I had plans to make another round version of a challah loaf this week during Rosh Hashanah, but have been a bit under the weather, so sharing the fun from last year instead.
In our continued effort to learn more about other religions, the significance of a round challah can symbolize God without beginning or end...similarly, round loaves are meant to bring a good life & blessings without end in the year ahead.

💃 the SIETE TABLE SAVORY EMPANADAS - made during one of their Virtual Cooking classes tonight. This recipe is from their upcoming COOKBOOK, as is the SALSA TATEMADA...AMAZING! Since I have yet to find my dutch oven (#movingprobs) I baked these lil’ cuties in the ol’ air fryer instead of frying them & was so pleased! The Garza family always brings spectacular things to this community & this cookbook will be the same!
The virtual cooking class tonight was so fun & this masa/empanada dough - so amazing! As someone who has worked with grain free recipes/doughs for over 7 years, I can tell you, it’s a fabulous dough.

BLACKBERRY TWIST - this baked delight uses our “CINNAMON ROLL 2.0” recipe over on the blog. As the weekend is winding down, we thought we could all use a little “twisted” fun! Use whatever jam you like for the filling, we had blackberry on hand, so blackberry it was!
beyond the recipe you’ll need:
✅ non dairy cream cheese
✅ favorite jam
✅ egg, whisked for egg wash (opt)
✅ vanilla infused sugar (opt)
✅ organic powdered sugar (opt)
Follow instructions through step 3 then do the following:
🌀 divide dough in half, covering one w/ plastic
🌀 roll out 1st half on dusted parchment to approx. an 8½” x 11” rectangle
🌀 spread 3 tbsp of cream cheese evenly on top
🌀 then spread about 3 tbsp of blackberry jam on top of the cream cheese
🌀 x-fer to baking sheet, roll up using parchment paper if necessary
🌀 use kitchen shears & make cuts at an angle about 1½” apart, wiping blade after each cut
🌀 carefully pull sections to the side, alternation directions
🌀 brush w/ whisked egg & sprinkle with vanilla infused sugar (opt)
🌀 repeat with other half
🌀 let rise in a warm spot for approx. 15 mins - preheat oven to 350°
🌀 bake for 25-30 mins until golden
🌀 remove from the oven, let cool & drizzle with glaze of organic powdered sugar & water (opt)
🌀 slice & serve & ENJOY!

🧄 A condiment for the ages ROASTED GARLIC, right?! How about air fryer style...yes! This golden elixir can be used in so many ways. One of our fav is to mix it into mashed potatoes!! Or how about, stirring it into your mayo before you stir up your potato salad or top that steak with it...or even slather it on those roasted veggies with some flaky salt! So many possibilities!

Super simple in the air fryer!
🧄 carefully cut the top ½” off the garlic bulb, making sure to cut into the tops of the garlic.
🧄 place garlic bulb in a small foil envelope & drizzle with avocado/olive oil, sprinkle fine sea salt & scrunch foil to enclose.
🧄 place in your air fryer & bake/roast at 400° for 20-25 minutes or until garlic is very soft & has some golden edges.
🧄 remove, allow to cool then squeeze the garlic out of its skin & swirl in all the things.
🧅 Happy FriYAY - please pass all the FINGER FOOD! Like, our Air Fryer BLOOMING ONION. A lighter version than the standard restaurant variety & the coating comes together in a jiffy & allows the delicious flavor of the sweet onion to shine!
