A collaboration years in the making with my dear friend Michelle Pusateri of Nana Joes Granola!
Say hello to the first to market WAFFLE CONE GRANOLA blend! This chef’s blend is inspired by the delicate, golden crisp of a classic Italian pizzelle cookie and tastes like pure joy in every bite.
After meeting “in real life” three summers ago when I traveled to the Bay Area, I arrived at Michelle P’s “magical granola factory” with a box of Paleo Pizzelles in tow. I don’t like to show up without treats to share! Since then she and I have always chatted about doing a blend together. Almost exactly three years to the day that I showed up at her door, we finally made it happen! We chatted about a few ideas and then I saw in her eyes the moment she knew exactly what this blend needed to be!
What you’ll find, and taste, in this blend is all the flavors of that Paleo Pizzelle that I showed up with. It’s a recipe that I created almost a decade ago for my husband’s birthday. He asked for a “drumstick” ice cream treat, so I had to make it happen! That pizzelle became a mini waffle cone that eventually became that Paleo drumstick he asked for. All the flavors of that pizzelle/waffle cone and a beloved recipe I’ve made at trade shows, whipped up often for family and made dozens as gifts around the holidays are there. Michelle P, the granola goddess herself, captured those same warm n’ nostalgic, toasty flavors in a granola blend that delivers the perfect balance of crunch in every bite.
This granola is a celebration of that love. Inspired by the flavors of that paleo pizzelle recipe and brought to life through the magical hands of Michelle P and the Nana Joes Granola team. Together, all of our foodie hearts dreamed up something we hope feels as special to you as it does to us.
Collaborating with Michelle P and the Nana Joes Granola team has truly been a dream. I like to think my angel mom is smiling down, proud and touched by this full-circle moment. Growing up, she gave me full freedom in the kitchen—never mind the messes…and there were plenty! She always cleaned up with a smile. What a gift that was: the freedom to explore, create, and fall in love with food. I’ve always been kitchen curious, eager to learn, and most of all, to feed the people I love.
