💟 Mini & oh so easy fudge - on this week's IG Live! Ahead of what would have been my mom’s 85th birthday on the 29th & a week full of unbelievable sorrow of losing our beloved Dolly, I thought I’d share an adaptation of what reminds me of my mom’s fudge. I don’t know about you, but I’ve been craving chocolate! A very scaled down version to make what some might consider a “personal pan” of fudge & honestly the way this week has gone, who am I to judge - eat what your heart needs to & share the rest! I say a “recipe that reminds me of my mom’s fudge” because it’s one that I failed to have her write down for me before she passed, so it’s now lost to the ages…which makes me incredibly sad. Get those loved ones to write down your favs!!! This is an adaptation of one of my mother in law Patsy’s recipes for chocolate frosting…a little tweak here & there - tadah, my mom’s fudge is still with me in a roundabout way. If you joined in during the Live thank you & if not, be sure to tune in next week! • ¼ cup sugar, can sub maple sugar as needed • 1¼ tbsp butter, can sub with ghee or dairy free as needed • 1 tbsp + 1 tsp milk, sub dairy free as needed • 6 tbsp chocolate chips, milk, dark, you pick! • optional, chopped nuts &/or sprinkles 💟 line a small mini loaf pan or cake pan w/ parchment paper, set aside add sugar, butter & milk to a small saucepan 💟 melt over medium heat & allow sugar to dissolve & the mixture to come to a slow boil 💟 reduce heat & simmer for 1 minute, no longer!
