Coming in hot with our Paleo RASPBERRY LEMONADE! Another refreshing, iced beverage to keep your taste buds delighted all season long! Subtly sweet and blushingly delish. It’s also one of the recipes you’ll find so easy to make you’ll be spinning it up over and over again.

Our RASPBERRY LEMONADE is not made in the conventional “lemonade” kind of way. Pulsing the cut up lemons in an high powered blender releases the natural oil in the rind which provides far more natural lemon flavor and also juices the lemons quicker than doing each one individually! Be sure to wash them really well ahead of time.

You can skip the raspberries if you don’t have them on hand or sub in fresh strawberries or even blueberries! By pulsing the fruit along with the lemons, all the seeds (or skin if using blueberries) are strained out with the rinds. Giving you a less pulpy beverage and saves you time!

If you prefer maple syrup, feel free to use as your sweetener. The amount can also be adjusted if you want a bit more sweetness or maybe less. Keep in mind that if you use maple syrup, the flavor profile would be a bit different as well as the color. Give it a go if you prefer that to honey.

To serve, add ice to a large beverage dispenser or individual cups. Add some additional lemon slices and fruit, which adds some visual variety as well as texture. Yes, texture is great in a beverage too, don’t knock it til you try it! Fill dispenser or cups with lemonade and enjoy! If you want to sprinkle a bit of organic vanilla sugar on top before serving, please do. While not perfectly Paleo, it lends a fun sparkly to the drink and makes it so festive.

Sip on friends and enjoy this all season!

a refreshing new take on LEMONADE sweetened with only honey!

Ingredients

  • 3-4 lemons, medium size & well washed

  • 4 cups water

  • 6 oz fresh raspberries (or strawberries or blueberries)

  • pinch of fine sea salt

  • ¾ – 1 cup raw honey

  • garnish: additional lemons and raspberries (opt)

  • organic vanilla sugar

Directions

  • Wash lemons and air dry so they’re not slippery then cut into ¼ or ⅛ depending on the size.
  • Add cut lemons, raspberries, honey, salt and water to a high powered blender and pulse 4-5 times. You’re not going for a complete puree, just enough till the liquid changes color and lemons are coarsely chopped. Pour this mixture through a fine mesh sieve into a large container, removing rinds, pulp and raspberry seeds.
  • Pour into a pitcher and refrigerate. To serve, add ice along with additional lemon slices and raspberries to a large beverage dispenser or 16oz glasses and pour in lemonade. Garnish with additional fruit and/or vanilla sugar. Enjoy!
