MEXICAN HOT CHOCOLATE - while we’re on our way to sipping all the tropical things you can enjoy in a cup on Maui, we thought we’d drop this cup of warm chocolatey deliciousness right here.
From everyones favorite Familia, the Garzas, at @sietefoods - their hot chocolate is the newest seasonal offering & we’re so happy to have grabbed a few packets!

🍎Paleo/GF APPLE CIDER DONUTS - in honor of GIVING TUESDAY, here’s the much anticipated recipe! Hope you all enjoy them! Now it’s your turn...give back, pay it forward, be the good...etc, you get the idea! #recipebelow #givingtuesday
Without an oven, these were the easiest recipe to finalize & share before we leave for Maui. No donut maker, no problem! You can also bake these in a mini muffin tin or a donut pan in the oven (haha, which I do NOT have the luxury of at this moment) at around 375 til golden!
1 ¼ cups @ottosnaturals cassava flour
1 ¼ tsp @legitbreadcompany baking powder
1 tsp @primalpalate Little Palate apple cinnamon blend
¾ tsp salt
½ tsp nutmeg
10 tbsp organic shortening
¾ c coconut sugar
¼ c maple sugar
2 eggs, room temp.
1 tsp vanilla
½ c @martinellisco apple cider
6 tbsp @fourthandheart ghee, melted & slightly cooled
½ c maple sugar
1 tsp cinnamon apple
🍎 COMBINE cassava flour, baking powder, apple cinnamon blend & salt in mixing bowl, fluff to combine & set aside
🍎 ADD shortening & sugars to a medium mixing bowl, beat with a hand mixer til well combined & fluffy
🍎 ADD eggs & vanilla & mix again to fully combine
🍎 POUR this mixture into the dry ingredients & mix well to combine
🍎 ADD batter to a plastic bag, squeezing to one corner, then snip the tip off
🍎 HEAT up DONUT MAKER as directed by manufacturer then fill cavities & bake til golden
🍎 REMOVE from donut maker to cooling rack til they are cool enough to touch
🍎 PREPARE coating by placing the ghee in a small bowl & the sugar/cinnamon in another bowl, dip/brush the donut (top only or both top & bottom) then dip in cinnamon/sugar mixture.
🍎 ENJOY every single bite!

🥗 WINTER GRAPEFRUIT VINAIGRETTE SALAD - pink grapefruit season is a great time to make this winter salad & luscious vinaigrette! A refreshing offering that will brighten up your taste buds! Simple & so fabulous!
Grapefruit essence is also known to be an UPLIFTING fragrance! Naturally PALEO, WHOLE30, PLANT-BASED WHOLE30, VEGAN & LOW CARB
• juice of one large pink grapefruit (about ½ cup)
• 1 tsp dijon mustard
• ¼ tsp fine sea salt
• finely chopped chives
• black pepper to taste
• ¼ - ½ cup avocado oil
• salad greens
• grapefruit supremes of 1 grapefruit
• ½ an avocado, sliced as desired
• finely diced red onion, or slices
🥗 Add juice, mustard, salt, chives, black pepper & avocado oil to a large mason jar. SHAKE, SHAKE, SHAKE!
🥗 Assemble greens, sprinkle with a bit of fine sea salt, add avocado, supremes, red onion & micro greens.
🥗 Pour that deliciousness all over the salad…EAT IT!

Paleo PORK WELLINGTON - a kissing cousin to the more well known “beef Wellington” - however, far more affordable using a pork tenderloin. All the fancy feels but easier to make than you might think.
Perfect for a smaller gathering like FRIENDSGIVING or for those they may not really care for turkey on the big day.
Filled with dried apples, rolled up in prosciutto, wrapped in pie crust, then baked to perfection. Prep in advance of that “fancy” meal so you have more time for visiting with your guests.
